Kandy Perahera location and schedule
The location of the Kandy Perahera takes place in July and August in Kandy, Sri Lanka. Annually, this reverent procession through Kandy honors the Sacred Tooth Relic of Lord Buddha, which is kept at the Sri Dalada Maligawa.The Kandy Perahera is a proud cultural heritage that has been continued for centuries in Sri Lanka. The 2025 Kandy Perahera location is in Kandy, Sri Lanka and it is scheduled from 30th July to 09th August. If you are in Sri Lanka during July – August this is a must see grand and elegant festival. The festival can be viewed free of cost but because of the huge gathering of people there is a possible chance of that you will miss the front row better view. Kandy Perahera Route Plan
Every day, Kandy Esala Perahera performs on several streets. Kandy perahera route plan is signposted to make it simple to see the procession’s path. It mainly parades around the neighborhood’s streets and circles Kandy Lake before making its way back to the Temple of the Tooth. The final Randoli Perahera’s path is depicted here. It travels down King Street, Dalada Street, Yatinuwara Street, Kotugodella Street, and D. S. Senanayake Street before turning around and returning to the Temple of the Tooth. The Kandy Perahera route plan of the procession was crowded with spectators on the day of the last Randoli Perahera event. Nearly every roadside, balcony, rooftop, and upstairs area becomes crowded with guests. Visitors from all over the world travel to Kandy City to see this grand finale of the Perahera.
